The Trust, non-profitable, registered on 15th April 1981 at Mysore, Karnataka state, India under the Indian Trust Act. Registration No 6 / 81-82 of 15.04.1981.
The registration was done in Mysore because the Office of the Directorate of Epigraphy of the Archaeological Survey of India is located there and the inscription/ epigraph and reference books are available in that office. The Editorial staffs of the Trust are all located in Mysore.
